Twice-yearly care keeps bi-fold windows gliding smoothly, sealing tightly, opening fully, and lasting for years. Contact a specialist for adjustments or persistent issues.
Use mild detergent/water or glass cleaner + soft cloth. Fold panels fully open for safe access to both sides. 1–2 times yearly (more if dusty/coastal).
Brush or vacuum dirt, dust, leaves from top/bottom tracks, hinges, and pivot points. Keep channels free to prevent binding.
Apply silicone-based lubricant to rollers, pivots, hinges, tracks, and multi-point locking mechanisms every 6–12 months (or when movement feels stiff). Wipe excess.
Check gaskets and brushes for cracks, flattening, or gaps. Clean gently; replace damaged ones to stop drafts, leaks, and noise.
Fold/unfold fully; ensure smooth, even movement and secure locking at every point. If panels drag, bind, or misalign, do not force—call a professional for adjustment.
Remove detachable screens; rinse with water, brush gently, dry, and reinstall.
Clear any drainage holes/slots in bottom track/sill to prevent water pooling.
